Loggerheads Walks

Free leaflets for the loops are available at the Loggerheads, the Library, Post Office, Hungersheath Tea Rooms and Doctors Surgery in Ashley.

The Parish of Loggerheads has a large number of stunning walks, there are numerous public footpaths zig zagging their way through our beautiful parish. We have an active Footpaths Committee who make sure that any blocked footpaths or damaged styles and waymarkers are reported to Staffordshire County Council.

Parish Walks

A booklet containing 6 walks around Loggerheads that was first published in 1985 by the late George Riley who was a member of Staffordshire Ramblers Association is being updated and will be re-printed in the summer. The Parish Council is grateful to George, for his original work identifying 6 wonderful walks and to Derek Cooper who has helped with the maps for the new version. The booklet is now available from Loggerheads Library for £2.

Walk 1 – 1.5 miles Ashley to Lordsley
Walk 2 – 2.5 miles Around Ashley
Walk 3 – 8.5 miles Ashley to Winnington, Knighton and Willoughbridge
Walk 4 – 4.5 miles Loggerheads to Mucklestone, Blore, Burnt Wood
Walk 5 – Loggerheads to Blore, Park Springs, Burnt Wood
Walk 6 – 5.5 miles Hales to Tyrley Locks, Little Heath, Almington
