As the elderly and vulnerable self-isolate, they can be at an increased risk of falling victim to scammers. There’s been reports in the UK of people offering a shopping service for isolated people where they take payment in advance and then never return with the goods. Please be vigilant to this and only give money to people you know and trust such as family and close friends.
In these challenging times it is with regret that the Loggerheads & District Befrienders are suspending all their group activities with immediate effect. However, we will continue to support our community by keeping in contact with people by phone and helping with shopping etc. If you need assistance please contact us.

If you are able to offer support please also contact us.

An application submitted by the Parish Council to site 2 portacabins adjacent to the football filed in the Burntwood has been approved, with strict conditions to protect the trees. You will see work start when the weather improves and when Loggerheads Football club has done some fund raising. Power and water will be laid to the cabins to provide changing facilities so that the Club can reach FA standards.
The Parish Council has looked at the data from Speed Watch activity in the area and listened to residents’ feedback about speeding vehicles on Eccleshall Road, the B5026 and Newcastle Road, the A53 in Loggerheads and purchased and installed two more Speed Indication Devices. These are the signs that flash your speed at you as you approach them and remind you to Slow Down if you are travelling at more than 30mph, the speed limit for both these roads. We already have one on Mucklestone Road and another at Hookgate. The first and oldest on the A53 at the BT Telephone Exchange is battery operated and will be replaced with a solar power sign in spring. Our local Speed Watch volunteers are active in Mucklestone, Knighton and Loggerheads and are always looking for new volunteers so they can be more active. If you are interested please contact Karen on 01630 673426 or email email@example.com.
